What do other parents have to say about raising bilingual children?

Using the links above, you can learn about the successes and challenges of other families and hopefully acquire some tips that will be useful to you.
As one parent advised others raising bilingual children, "If you keep it up, it is a gift they will have for life."

The parents quoted here have children ages two to adult and in addition to English, speak Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Japanese, Marathi, Korean, Arabic, Dutch, Danish, German, Catalán, and Farsi. Most of these families live in the United States, so English is the community language, and another language is the minority language. Some families live outside the United States, so in these cases English is the minority language they want their children to learn.
